Denmark Green Card Application Fee

At the beginning of the year 2011, demark started charging the Denmark Greencard application fees to foreign nationals wishing to immigrate to the country. Applications for other documents such as a work permit, residence permit or a 90 day visa also attract their own processing fees.  This Denmark Greencard application fee is also charged to those who unsuccessfully applied for the Danish Greencard but wish to appeal.

There are different categories of applicants. Each category is charged a unique processing fee in the Danish Greencard scheme. The Denmark Greencard application fee ranges from almost DKK 6,000 for those wishing to reunite their families in Denmark to as low as DKK 3,025 for those plying for the Greencard under the corporate work scheme.

There are several countries whose citizens are allowed to travel to Denmark without visas for a maximum of 90 days every 6 months.  Such people don’t have to pay the Denmark Greencard application fee. In fact they don’t need the green card at all to work and live in Denmark all that is required is a work permit and permanent residence permit.

This fee is essentially required to cover the costs of processing the application hence refunds are not available to unsuccessful applicants. In cases where the applicant elects to withdraw his application at any stage, no refund can be made the Denmark Green card application fee has to be paid after the applicant has ascertained that there is a high probability of his application going through. The applicant first has to create a case order id, pay the fees and then finally submit the application together with the necessary attachments. There are several instances when an applicant may be except from paying the fees. If after paying, the applicant can prove that he was in fact accept, this is the only situation when a refund can be made.

The Denmark Greencard application fee has to be paid at the embassy or diplomatic mission at which the candidate submits the application. Alternatively, the candidate can make the payment to the ministry of immigration and produce the bank receipt or other proof of payment. This payment module can be accessed via www.newtodenmark.dk/fee.
