Study, work and live in Denmark!


Denmark has been ranked at one of the happiest places in the world as well as one of the richest, peaceful, least corrupt and among the most livable countries in the world.

For anyone who has plans to work and live in Denmark, you don’t have to marry a Dane or achieve a refugee status all you need to do is apply for the Denmark Green Card. The Danish Green Card scheme makes it possible for professionals or skilled personnel’s to work and settle in Denmark by granting you a work and residence permit. The Denmark immigration policy grants the work permit based on an individual’s evaluation using a point system that assesses the applicant’s possibility of finding a job in Denmark.

In order to be eligible for a Danish green card you need to score at least 100 points from the following areas: age, education, language adeptness and work experience. Other conditions include having a health insurance cover for you and your family until you obtain a Danish Health Insurance cover and proving that you are able to maintain your family for one year in Denmark before you get. The Denmark Green Card Scheme enables the applicants to earn bonus points for the various factors that are assessed.

Education qualification

To earn points in the level of education category one must have the minimum qualification of a Bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Danish degree. Having a master’s degree, PhD or having graduated from an internationally recognized university especially with degree course in a field experiencing a shortage of professionals, earns you bonus points

Age
You earn points if you are 40 years or younger and bonus points are granted if you are below 35.

Work experience           
For every field you must have a 1 year work experience (but there are some exceptions) and you earn more points depending on the number of years you have worked especially in a research field or in an area where Denmark is having a shortage of professionals.

Language proficiency
One must be proficient in German, Danish, Norwegian, Swedish or English language.
Immigration to Denmark allows you move in with your partner and kids that are below 18 years and in addition your partner is allowed to work full time until the residence permit expires.
