Are you a professional looking for a career overseas? Consider Denmark!

As more and more developed countries are trying to reduce the influx of immigrants, Denmark is doing the opposite by welcoming more of them through the Denmark green card scheme. The scheme has made immigration to Denmark quite easy for professionals in search for a life and occupation in any EU country. However, one is required to earn a bare minimum of 100 points in the evaluation program that is points’ based.

This points’ based system for the Danish green card assesses the prospective applicant’s eligibility based on their age, level of education, adaptability, and work experience and language proficiency. You should note that a Denmark green card is not a work permit but once you have obtained a residence permit its not a must you obtain a work permit although this means that you cannot venture into self employment. For Nordic citizens, you are free to reside, work and study in Denmark and for EU citizens you are subjected to certain regulations.

Application process
The application process can be quite tedious due to the number of steps involved but that cannot outdo the many good reasons for immigration to Denmark. This process is however dependent on whether you are applying as a job seeker, self-employed or as an employee with a concrete job offer. The job you have been offered should be among the Positive list and you must have qualified for it and your salary should be at least DKK 375,000 annually. In this case your employer is the one who starts the application process and sends you the filled application forms and once you are through with them you can submit them to the respective office for evaluation.

You need to note that for each applicant there is a specific form containing the necessary details. For self employed persons’ and job seekers you complete the forms single handedly and failure to include some information in the Danish green card may lead to rejection.

Conclusion
For your application to be processed you need to pay a fee either in person or you can send someone to do it for you and it is advisable to do a research on the fee before application as it varies.
