Conditions for immigrating to Denmark

If you are thinking of immigrating to an EU country it’s good to consider Denmark, a country with a striking corporate culture -with English as the corporate language, a country with a GDP greater than that of the US, high level of employment and with very attractive Gross salaries. The Denmark green card scheme provides a great opportunity for qualified professionals to work in Denmark.

As long as you meet the eligible criteria provided for age, education, language proficiency and the necessary previous work experience you stand a chance to obtain a Denmark green card to enable you and your family to relocate to Denmark. After filing your application with the immigration to Denmark department, you can get your visa in at least 6 months. When applying you need to attach all the appropriate education credentials such as transcripts and certificates in colored copies and the originals have to be produced at the embassy to confirm the validity of the copies. Documents that are not written in the four Scandinavian languages or in English should be submitted with an English or Danish translation.

Also to obtain a Denmark residence or work permit under the Danish green card scheme an applicant must have a health insurance cover for him/her and his/her family for the entire period they are going to be in Denmark. Furthermore an applicant must prove that he/she is able to support the family for the first year before obtaining a job and this may require you submission of a recent bank statement and the currency. Depending on the age of the applicant and whether they have a family to support there are different start rates that are stipulated by the Denmark green card scheme.

For people under the age of 25 and without a family the monthly rate that is required –tax inclusive is DKK 5,367 and for those above that DKK 6,472. For spouses or partners the rate for each of them is DKK 5,367.
